At some level what you are doing should seem like work. Don’t get me wrong, monotonous drudgery is not the goal. It means that your body should feel like it is outside its comfort zone. You want to expand your capacity.

Take a picture of yourself – and have it “morphed” at a photo shop. Wanna see how you look 10, 20, 30 pounds lighter? Have the picture people edit the picture in the image you like, then take home copies of it and hang them everywhere you can see it. Harness the power of visualization.

Procrastination is another word for avoidance. There is something you know you should be doing yet your emotions, your thoughts and perhaps old habits allow you to slide right past the action you are avoiding. It’s an automatic response to avoid pain or discomfort, and we get better at as we get older.
